Manchester United Youngster Ethan Galbraith has signed a new contract that will keep him in the club until June 2023.
The 19-year-old middleman put the pen to the paper on a fresh three-year deal, with an option for an additional year, after several impressive performances for the Under-23s club.
Galbraith, now an international in Northern Ireland, is now one of the most senior players in Neil Wood's Under-23 outfit. He scored the winner in the U.S. first league win since the promotion, a 2-1 victory on the Leigh Sports Village last week.
The middleman made only one senior appearance on the side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who came in the 2-1 Europa League defeat at Astana in Kazakhstan last year when he joined fellow debutant Dylan Levitt in the middle. He also started United's only pre-season friendly this year, a 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa, where he played alongside Donny van de Beek in the center of the park, training regularly with the first team.
Galbraith is highly regarded by United Youth Coaches and, while not on loan in the summer, could well be searching for a temporary move in the January transfer window or next summer.
Levitt and James Garner went to Charlton and Watford for a loan in the summer.
