Edinson Cavani is yet to make a single appearance for Manchester United since joining for a huge deal worth £200k a week.

But that could change on Saturday, as the Red Devils host Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, was asked during his pre-match conference about the possibility of the Uruguayan playing the game, and he responded, saying, “He might be ready for the squad as well for this weekend.

“He’s been training hard and been training well. I think he’ll be available for the weekend.”

Obviously, this is a positive update, especially, seeing as Anthony Martial remains suspended after seeing a straight red in the 6-1 loss to Tottenham.

Cavani could have made his debut against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, but Solskjaer didn’t think he was quite there yet.
