Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, following a brilliant run of form, has disclosed the decision he made which got his star man Bruno Fernandes angry.
Fernandes who has been a "messiah" signing for the Red Devils since he joined them in January 2020 has made rival clubs enviable with stellar performances for the club which played a crucial role in the club's qualification for the UEFA Champions League last season.
The Portuguese playmaker has continued his impressive form this season as he has recorded nine goals and five assists in the ongoing Premier League campaign.
This has made many United fans and Solskjaer somewhat dependent on him though he has been rested on a few occasions.
Solskjaer in his pre-match interview against Everton in the Carabao cup which the Red Devils eventually won 2-0, noted that the hectic schedule has brought to the fore the undisputed fact that Fernandes will be rested at some point.
This made many speculate that the Portuguese was probably going to be named on the bench last night. But to the surprise of many, the 26-year-old played the full match.
Contrarily, while many were requesting that the playmaker be rested, Solskjaer revealed that Bruno himself doesn't want to be rested as he was even not happy with him that he was taken off against Leeds United.
The Norwegian noted that though Fernandes doesn't get fatigued easily, he feels there's no reason for him to be kept on the pitch when a match is as good as won.
Manchester United having sealed their place in the Semifinals of the Carabao cup with a tie against Manchester City will be back again in action this weekend when they face Leicester City.
