Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted to his side’s 2-1 away win over French champions, Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The Red Devils put on one of their very best displays in a while, as they put Thomas Tuchel’s men to the sword.
What makes the win all the more exciting is also the fact that the team defended well, to nullify the threats posed by Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, and the boss is delighted.
Speaking with the media after the match, the Norwegian said, “The performance has been good.
“We deserve to win. It was a better performance than in 2019. This shows that we have made progress.
“To beat PSG, there is no secret. You have to play well and defend well. PSG remain a fantastic team, one of the best in Europe, with superb players against whom a very solid defense had to be put up.”
The lads have shown remarkable mental strength by coming back from that humiliating 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur before the international break to record back to back wins against difficult oppositions.
The win last night was also Solskjaer’s 10th away win across all competitions— something not many managers manage to do.
