The Red Devils take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League tomorrow night. Ahead of that game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given us the all-important Man United team news…
United go into this one on the back of a simply stunning victory away at Paris Saint-Germain. With three massive away points already on the board, this presents Solskjaer an opportunity to take control of the group.
Win here and we’re well on our way to qualification through into the knockout stages. However, RB Leipzig won’t be an easy assignment. They’ve been in fantastic form and United will have to be on their A-game to make it two from two.
Ahead of the fixture, the Baby Faced Assassin met the media to give us the all-important team news. Two players, Eric Bailly and Jesse Lingard, have already been ruled out.
Solskjaer admitted that United have a couple of injury doubts for this game against Leipzig, though he wouldn’t specify who…
Hear from Solskjaer in regards to the latest Man United team news:
“It’s more or less the same squad”, Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.
“There are a couple of doubts, as you normally have after a weekend game, a tight game as we had against Chelsea.
My best guess would be that Harry Maguire is still suffering from the same knock that cost him to miss United’s game against PSG a week ago. While I’ve got no idea who the other player could be, but it seems like it’s someone who started at the weekend.
This is why United wanted to add squad depth over the summer. Thankfully, we’ve done that with the additions of Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani. All of whom may well start their first Old Trafford Champions League game tomorrow night.
