According to reports in Belgium, former Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj is wanted by Premier League clubs Southampton and Brighton ahead of the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old currently plays in Spain for for Real Sociedad.
His future at the Spanish club is uncertain as he has made just two starts in La Liga since the start of the season and is in danger of missing out on a place in Belgium’s squad for the delayed European Championships next summer.
The 25-year-old has been out of the Belgium national team for over a year ago, but could be offered an escape route out of Real Sociedad this winter to help boost his chances to make Belgium’s squad for the Euros.
According to HLN, Premier League duo Southampton and Brighton are eyeing a move for Januzaj who is expected to cost €25m (£22.5m), despite the player having a €60m (£54m) release clause in his contract.
However, Sociedad are in no rush to part and are even looking to extend Januzaj’s current deal, which is due to expire in 2022.
Januzaj emerged from Manchester United’s academy in 2013, but struggled to make the grade at Old Trafford.
The player won three Premier League titles and the Champions League during his six years at United.
