Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has claimed Manchester United did not properly manage their transfer pursuit of Jadon Sancho.
It was reported that the German side refused to sell the winger because the Red Devils failed to meet their transfer demands, but Watzke has revealed that his side were willing to compromise on a deal for Sancho if the United had negotiated in a better way.
He also admitted the player could be sold next summer because no player is unsellable.
Speaking to ZDF Sports about Jadon Sancho’s transfer saga with Man United in the summer, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke didn’t directly reference the Red Devils but said: “[They] misjudged the situation.
“We would be more willing to compromise. We had a clear line and will continue to do so next summer. In this industry, you can never say that a player is completely unsellable.”
