The Red Devils Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces a fresh injury crisis as his players head back from international assignment.
A number of players have returned from their travels to play for their national teams with question marks over their fitness ahead of Saturday evening’s English Premier League match with the Baggies at the Threatre Of Dreams.
England international Marcus Rashford initially joined the Three Lions party despite a shoulder problem sustained when playing for Manchester United, but Rashford couldnt recover in time and returned to Manchester United without taking part in England matches this week.
Marcus Rashford rated as having a 50% opportunity of being fit for Saturday's Clash.
Fellow attacker Anthony Martial has also picked up an Injury, the Frenchman started for France against Portugal on Saturday but was substituted in the 78th minute mark and was reported to have picked up a back injury.
Anthony Martial didn't take part in France’ 4-2 victory over Sweden on Tuesday and is also considered to have a 50:50 chance of being fit for the Baggies game.
That France vs Sweden game saw Manchester United centre-defender Victor Lindelof also sustain a lower back issue which saw him subbed off after 66 minutes. The Sweden International is also rated as 50:50 for Saturday.
England international Mason Greenwood was missing from Manchester United’s travelling squad to the Tofees last time out, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reporting that he had been feeling unwell. He didn't join the Three Lions squad.
The nature of Mason Greenwood’s condition is unknown so until Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives his press conference it is unclear as to whether the Englishman will be ready or not.
Another complicated issue is that of Uruguay Star Edinson Cavani.
He played 2 games for Uruguay national side during the international break but the side has announced 11 of their squad as having tested positive for deadly virus COVID-19 whilst in the bubble.
If all four strikers are ruled out, it would leave Nigerian International Odion Ighalo as the only available forward for Saturday’s match
Also definitely out of contention are Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw and Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard.
